The Happiest Woman

Yesterday I married the man, sent from God, with whom I will spend loving for the rest of my life.  I am still in the clouds a little bit, but I'm happy to be here!

I know that I am about to embark on the most amazing journey of my life.  I have been through some tumultuous times in the past, but I have learned great lessons: lessons in trust, lessons in fear, lessons in humility, and lessons in love.  From here on out I will apply what I have learned to my married life.  I embrace it all!!  My life lessons will become love lessons.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain.
Life is about learning, loving, appreciating the amazing gifts God gives us.

I love you, John!!

Tomorrow is The Day

Well, tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life as a Mrs. again.  Tomorrow I marry the most awesome man I have ever known.  I have had this blog all set up for a while, and I had planned to start blogging on my wedding day, but today I am nearly bursting with excitement so I'm getting an early start!

I have been married before; so has he.  He has two sons from previous marriage, and I have two daughters.  We are going to be a full house!  What sets our marriage aside from previous is that God is at the center of what we have together.  We have both been in relationships where "man" and "woman" thought they held the cards, knew everything, didn't need help, didn't need God.  But, oh how we have learned.  Without Him, we are lost.  Without Him, nothing feels whole.  Nothing seems to lead anywhere.  How silly to have lived without His Word guiding us and uplifting us and inviting us.

So, today I have arrived in blogland.  I have been following some awesome blogs for a while now.  One among my favorites is Women Living Well Blog by Courtney.  She inspires me so much.  I followed her first weekly challenge to light a candle in my home and then pray for my home whenever I passed by it.  I did it!!  Of course, I did leave a candle burning all night and was happy that my home was still standing in the morning, but hey, does even God ask for perfection?  Goodness no, he sent Jesus!!

Today I am starting with the week #2 challenge, which is to play soft music every day in my home.  I love this!  I play piano for my church, probably not as much as I should at home, so I'm going to do that some every day.  My older daughter, age 12, is really getting into music these days and I love having this opportunity to influence her with more of the "good stuff."

I cannot WAIT to start living Hand in Hand For a Lifetime!!
